2026.07.01 Meeting to organize the Senehasa program for vulnerable children was attended by the Chairperson, Secretary and Deputy Directors of the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, Regional Secretaries and Officers, Divisional Education Director, Chief Inspector of Police in charge of the Children's Division of Mount Lavinia Police, Officers of the Medical Officer of Health Office, and the Probation Department.

The “People-Centric Administration” Regional Productivity Index - 1.0 Citizen Mirror - 2025 Certificate Presentation Ceremony organized by the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development - National Productivity Secretariat was held on 2026.06.16.The “People-Centric Administration” Regional Productivity Index - 1.0 Citizen Mirror - 2025 Certificate Presentation Ceremony organized by the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development - National Productivity Secretariat was held on 2026.06.16.702 performance indicators have been evaluated under 6 main sectors and the Divisional Secretariats have been ranked and 50 Divisional Secretariats in the country have been selected for the excellent rating of Grade AAA with a score range of 85 - 100. Ratmalana Divisional Secretariat secured the first place in the Colombo District with a score of 87.72%. (23rd place in the island)I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, the Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, the Colombo District Secretary, the Director General and staff of the National Productivity Office, and the judging panel who provided leadership and guidance for this program.The Productivity Coordination Officer-Assistant Divisional Secretary, Productivity Development Officer and officers of all positions of the Ratmalana Divisional Secretariat made great efforts to secure the first place in the Colombo District, and I highly appreciate their unity and cooperation.

The Ratmalana Divisional Coordination Committee Meeting was held on Tuesday, 2026.06.30 at 9.30 am at the Ratmalana Divisional Secretariat Auditorium with the participation of MP Samanmali Gunasinghe, Ratmalana Divisional Secretary M.M.K. Dilrukshi Walpola and various government officials representing various government institutions. The security situation in the Ratmalana area, the progress of projects implemented in the division as well as many existing problems in the area were discussed and necessary future actions and decisions were taken.

On the instructions of the Divisional Secretary of the Ratmalana Divisional Secretariat, Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, under the supervision of the Assistant Divisional Secretary, Deputy Director, Samurdhi Manager and under the guidance of the Deputy Director, Planning Jayasekara, the Kurakkan Kenda Dansala was held on 2026/05/27 at the Ratmalana Divisional Secretariat premises with the cooperation of all the officers of the Ratmalana Divisional Secretariat. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Venerable Itipe Wimalasara Thero, the Chief Incumbent of the Ratmalana Parama Dhammacethiya Pirivena, who especially helped in this regard.

Under the guidance and instructions of Ratmalana Divisional Secretary Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, an ice cream festival was held in front of the Ratmalana Divisional Secretariat on 07.06.2026 by a group of preschool teachers led by Early Childhood Officer Mr. Bhagya.
