The Thai Pongal festival organized by the Ratmalana Divisional Secretariat was held on 21/01/2026. Along with cooking Pongal rice according to Hindu traditions, a program to appreciate the creation of kolam patterns among the office officials and a short cultural event were also held. This program was conducted under the full supervision of Ratmalana Divisional Secretary Mrs. Dilrukshi Walpola, Assistant Divisional Secretary Mrs. Prabha Sri Madhurangi, and Accountant Mrs. Shanika Fernando.
